Abstract:This volume presents the recommendations in regard to sample design for the Living Standards Surveys in Ghana and Mauritania. Part I, written in English, deals with Ghana. The Ghana Living Standards Survey was launched in 1987 by the Ghana Statistical Service. This report presents the planned sample design. Part II, written in French, deals with Mauritania. In addition to presenting the planned sample design, it has a section on sampling error computation.
