Abstract:The aim of the study of attitudes towards technical drawing and the state of technical drawing in secondary schools in Zimbabwe, conducted in November 1988, was to find out headmasters', teachers' of technical subjects and students' attitudes towards this subject and to compare them with the state of technical drawing in the country. The data, collected through questionnaires and interviews, indicate that attitudes towards technical drawing in the schools studied are positive. Shortage of books and of qualified teachers, however, threaten the state of the subject and the attitudes towards it. Recommendations and suggestions for improvement are given at the end of the article. App., bibliogr.
