| Abstract: | Impressions of a visit to Australia in 1982. Three main perceptions of South Africa can be identified: a) the kith and kin school; b) the Functional and Help SA Reform School; c) the Be Damned, Leave Us Alone School. The last one prevails since the Springboks toured the country in 1971. That tour was the turning point; by the end of it, all future Australian perception of South Africa would be negative ones. |
