| Abstract: | This work is an attempt to evaluate Sanusiyah, a movement which was at one time the hope of a large part of the Muslim world. Sanusiyah, like Wahhabism was a revivalist movement pure and simple. It could only understand the situation in which it grew. As a revivalist movement it was conservative if not reactionary.
