The following issues are discussed: The nature and purpose of a practical training programme; the goals of the law curriculum at UNISWA; the provision of practical skills training in the law curriculum of the Department of Law of UNISWA; the development of a comprehensive programme of practical training in the curriculum; and the problems of implementing the new programme with some suggested solutions.
