Abstract:Using a method of projection based on three components of population change - births, deaths and net migration - the authors project Botswana's population forward from 1981 to 1991, then to 2001. They supply projections of preschool-age children, school and college-age populations, and the working-age population, as well as projections of those in the dependent age groups (persons under 15 or over 65 years old).
