Abstract: | The book's purpose is to urge Christians and Moslems as well as all ethnic groups in Nigeria to seek mutual understanding in dialogues and seminars where they will learn to understand each other in order to have the right attitude of mind in solving their problems. Part 1 summarizes the religious history of Nigeria. Part 2 deals with interreligious dialogue and African culture, and with problems and obstacles to dialogue in Nigeria. Part 3 proposes a theology of dialogue. Part 4 discusses the Islamic concept of the State and the Christian concept of democracy, Christian and Islamic scholasticism, and Christian and Islamic mysticism. |
