Abstract:	The focus of this preliminary bibliography on sub-Saharan African films is on films made by African filmmakers. South African films are excluded except those made by black South Africans or white filmmakers in exile whose films focus on blacks. The bibliography includes books, articles and reviews, most of them in English or French. Entries are listed alphabetically by author in two sections, the first for books and the second for articles. Indexes of actors/actresses, filmmakers, film titles, countries, general subjects and film festivals have been included.
