Abstract: | The incidence of drug abuse in Nigeria has risen to such a peak that both the young and the old are involved. Drug abuse cuts across all social strata. The socioeconomic consequences of drug abuse are interrelated. Drug abuse may precipitate changes in health and lead to involvement in crime, as well as tarnishing the national image.
