Abstract: | The Kafue Flats is an extensive, almost level area forming the inland floodplain of the Kafue River, Zambia, between Itezhitezhi, where it abruptly changes course from south to east, and the Kafue Gorge, 200 km downstream. The K(afue) B(asin) R(esearch) P(roject) was set up in 1967 by the University of Zambia Senate 'to encourage a balanced proqramme of interdisciplinary research' and to contribute to the planned development of the area. The bibliography has bean divided into 17 Sections. General - Agriculture - Animal ecology and biology - Animal husbandry - Archaeology - Climatology Fisheries - Geology - Geomorphology - History Hydroelectric power - Hydrology - Miscellaneous Sociology and economics - Soils - Urban - Vegetation.
