Abstract:If an 'ombudsman' service in Kenya is adopted, it does not have to cover the armed forces, although it should include the police and all services of the civil Service Commission, parti cularly the Provincial Administration. The ombudsman should be assisted by about six competent people. According to the author, the best person to do this kind of work is a Member of Parliament. The article ends with a description of the ombudsman-type, suggested by the Salarie Commission Report in 1967. Ref.
