Abstract:The article assesses the future pattern of development of the Rhodesian economy on the basis that sanctions are both maintained and enforced. The conclusion summarizes the economic possibilities with the possible political implications. According to the author the success of sanctions even over a long haul is not assured. Tables. Curtin, the note explores the damage caused thus far through the sanctions. Agreeing with some of Curtin's findings, MacKinnell argues that the real damage is greater than Curtin allows. no. 270, p. 56-58: T.R.C. Curtin - Sanctions and Rhodesia: a reply to R.T. MacKinnell.
