Abstract: | The code provisions for handling juveniles that have been adopted for Ethiopia, are based to a great extent upon Western principles. This survey exposes the actual practice of the courts with the aim of uncovering problems that the courts were having with the codes. Finally the operation of the Probation Service is treated.
