Abstract: | The population education and social and community welfare programme drawn up by ILO aims at the improvement of the living conditions of workers through a sensitization based on a reflexion on the relations between their incomes and needs. The authors discuss the specific publics to which ILO addresses itself, the institutional framework of projects, the contents of education, educational equipment, and achievements. A survey is given of the projects that have been implemented in Africa south of the Sahara (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Togo, and Zaire). Notes. |
