Abstract:This article on early sanitary reform in Sierra Leone depicts the selfish desire of the Colonial Administration in Freetown to protact its own citizens with the tax money paid by the inhabitants of the Colony. It also demonstrates how personal grudges among these administrators blinded them to any positive action, a factor common with British Colonial Administrations, at least in Sierra Leone's history.
