Abstract:The primary objectives of the study are: 1. to examine patterns of health care for three situations at rural health centres and satellite clinics by observing patient encounters with three categories of health care providers; 2. to explore the use of performance criteria to improve health station staff training programmes and develop diagnostic and treatment policy. The survey took place at the Danfa Centre, 40 kilometres north of Accra, and at three satellite clinics, four to six miles from Danfa (at Abokobi, Berekuso and Oyibi). - Ref., sum., tab.
