Abstract: | Attempts to analyse the effect of sanctions directed against Rhodesia, and examines the long-run growth prospects of the Rhodesian economy which, it is expected, will continue to be subject to sanctions in the future. The intention is to probe behind the more obvious aspects of the economic record so far: Sanctions and counter-measures (The effect of sanctions) - Long-term growth prospects (Sources of growth in the period before U.D.I.; Survival in the period since U.D.I.; the prospect for growth in the future).
