Abstract:Using the induced changes in the sectoral distribution of income as yardstick, the author measures the economic effects of Ghana's growth strategies in the 1960/69 period. The changes in output structure in Ghana are then related to the current structural changes in the economies of the neighbouring West African countries to obtain a comparative basis for evaluation. Finally, some relationships are established between the inputs of capital and labour and output of income in Ghana. Efficiency indices enable several deductions about the factors underlying the growth process in Ghana to be made. Notes, ref., tab.
