Geographic term:South Africa
Subject:juvenile delinquency
Abstract:There is no doubt that in South Africa as a consequence of the colour bar, delinquency amongst both Europeans and non-Europeans is growing at a rate frightening by any standards. Dealing with the question of the effect of the colour bar on juvenile delinquency amongst non-Europeans the author exposes the causes of this delinquency in their sociological and economic background. As long as the colour bar remains juvenile delinquency will remain and flourish in the soil that it provides.
