Abstract: | It is important for education planners to concern themselves with the economics of educational development and with the manpower requirements of developing nations as well as with the values, methodology, curriculum, and processes of learning. The author of this paper first discusses some of the more obvious trends in manpower requirements and then attempts to identify a number of 'areas of critical choice' in the building up of African higher education. |
