Abstract: | The leading regional issue in North Africa since 1975 has been the ongoing conflict over the decolonisation and final disposition of the Western Sahara. This article attempts to expose the major distortions of the Western Sahara conflict, to separate myth from reality, and in the process to shed light on the conflict's underlying dynamics. Notes. |
