Abstract:Apart from the National Land in Rhodesia, the country is roughly evenly divided between whites and blacks - 45,000,000 acres each, although Rhodesia now comprises 5,220,000 Africans and 249,000 Europeans. Besides, a much larger proportion of the land with the best soil content and rainfall has been included within the European areas. By far the greater number of the African population live in the Tribal Trust Lands, where land cannot be individually owned.
