Abstract: | In the seven years since independence the agricultural sector of Zambia's economy has experienced severe problems. A number of important changes have occured, particularly in regard to the pattern, volume and value of production. Some of these changes are serious (like tobacco and maize), others are welcome (like poultry, sugar and cotton). Still obvious and enormous is the scope for increased production of raw materials for home consumption and export. Notes, table. |
