| Abstract: | The FAO Food Policy and Nutrition Division has prepared a methodology for introducing specific nutritional objectives into agricultural and rural development projects, and for selecting nutritional intervention programmes for specific problem settings. It has also drawn up some guidelines for introducing a 'food and nutrition' component into agricultural training curricula in Africa. This article takes a look at the teaching material and reviews the efforts made to encourage its dissemination and adoption in a certain number of countries (in the present case Cameroon and Central African Republic), the necessary adjustments having first been made to adapt it to local realities. - Notes, photogr. |
