Abstract:This article deals with some measures to try and remove the Kikuyu's sense of injustice and frustration, caused by their dissatisfaction with the amount of land available to them, which was one of the main causes of the Mau Mau rebellion. The author diacusses the Makweni scheme, the Lake Baringo scheme and the Kikuyu 'work camps' on the Mwea plains. Ill.
