Abstract:The authors have developed a recursive linear programming model to test the effects on land and water resource allocation resulting from the change in pricing policies that allows a gradual trend toward market prices. This is achieved by studying the static (one year) and dynamic (intertemporal) adjustment of land and water use to these changes. The efficiency of water utilization in agriculture under the existing price structure is also examined.
