| Abstract: | The objective of the study reported in this paper is to conduct a critical Appraisal of the estimates and the methods of compilation of The Nigerian Income Accounts. The aim is to find out whether any of the national income estimators has succeeded in providing a reliable comprehensive total for any one year. If this is not found, attention shall be directed towards finding a comprehensive total for at least one important syb-aggregate. In the process of this analysis, the possibility of improving of the component estimates without recourse tot unavailable dat has been investigated. An attempt has also been made to evaluate the margins of error in quantitative terms. Notes: tables. |
