| Abstract: | The first attempt to estimate te national income of Ghana (then Gold Coast) was made in 1931 by Sir A.W. Cardinall; in his book 'The Gold Coast 1931' he devoted a few pages to the computation of the country's national income after he had surveyed the general economic and social structure of the country in some detail.
