| Abstract: | Cedric was started in 1919 by B.C. Chard on Umvutcha farm in Bulawayo. It was a private school attended by 35 boys in 1919/20. It was probably the first real private school in Rhodesia. In 1921 the school moved to a new building about four miles out of Bulawwayo. Chard left the school in 1925. The establishment of a diocesan preparatory school at a distance of 50 miles meant the and of Cedric school. Photogr. |
