Abstract: | During the last decades, the Northern Region of Ivory Coast has been strongly influanced by varions types of agricultural development policies. Several State Development Corporations for the cultivation of coton, sugar, rice and fruits, as well as for animal production have been very active in this long forgotten area, affecting the traditional way of life in many sudden and revolutionary ways.
