Abstract: | Management by Objectives (MBO) is a management technique based on the premise that organisations function efficiently when objectives have been well defined and progress is measured in terms of accomplishing those objectives. In Botswana, where rapid growth in the educational system is occurring, educational management by objectives can be profitably used. This paper gives a brief summary of MBO ideas which can be applied to education. A general transfer to education is then examined. Finally, a specific example of one fact of the educational system is expanded and developed in detail. Bibliogr., fig., sum. |
