Abstract: | In the Egypt Water Use and Management Project, farm records have proven to be a valuable tool in documenting the cropping systems and irrigation practices of farmers. The farm records showed how the actual cropping system could differ from that anticipated by the Ministry of Agriculture, and how the farmers applied approximately the expected number of irrigations, but the timing was offset to correspond with the offset in planting dates. This could then be used in planning irrigation releases. Ref. |
