Abstract: | The Association Agreement between the three partner States of the East African Community and the Member States of the European Economic Community, having been in existence for three years, has been described as a 'neo-colonial contract.' This article examines the provisions of the Agreement and their impact on East Africa's trading position with the EEC. Another reason for examining are new negotiations in motion for a new link with the EEC and Africa is interested to know what these 'new' efforts are likely to produce. Annexes; notes. |
