Abstract:This article attempts to get to grips with certain aspects of speculations concerning the influence of various individual opinion leaders on the South African political situation, notably as far as the subject of political and socio-economical change Is concerned. In that it represents an analysis of the ability of various South African political actors to influence the attitude formation and connected behaviour of South Africans based on the perceptions of various members of the South African House of Assembly. The author recently subjected parliamentarians to a survey In an attempt to measure their political beliefs.
