Abstract: | A close relationship seems to exist between forms and structures of houses of the Tongwe tribe, and the modes of living of people who are living there. Particular room in the houses is reserved for the essential necessities of life, such as working, resting, sleeping, and the storage of tools, food, personal things, valuables, and daily utensils. This relationship between life and the space where activities take place, has been depicted in a number of maps and sketches, which illustrate the text. Notes, tables, fig., photos. |
