Abstract:This paper attempts to focus attention on labour an managenial skills as factors of industrial production influencing economic development in East Africa. It is suggested that various managerial techniques applies to labour are capable of wide and successful application and can contribute in a large measure tot the successful establishment of industry. Rather more briefly referred to are the ways in which government policy and social and political factors impinge upon this aspect of economic development.
