Abstract: | After a description of the use of maps in general and of the history, economy and tribal groups in Portuguese Guinea, the author analyses maps of the Portuguese and the PAIGC, in order to give a view of the situation of Portuguese Guinea at the beginning of 1973. The conclusion is that the map depicting the minimum area attributed to both sides by the other side gives an idea of the situation as it was in that year. Maps, ref., table. |
