Abstract: | An appraisal of the attitude of Asian and African countries towards the Vietnam conflict is both difficult and complicated. This is due Co a great variety of attitudes and changes occurring in them, and, frequently, also to lack of consistency in approaching different problems connected with the conflict. This paper presents facts, documents and materials on the subject matter. The discussion differentiates between: Countries supporting the struggle of the Vietnamese people (i.a. Algeria, Egypt Burundi, Dahomey, Ghana, Guinea, Congo-Brazzaville, Libya, Mali, Mauretania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia) - Countries holding basically neutral position or avoiding pronouncements on the issue of the Vietnam conflict (i.a. Chad, Kenya, Equatoria Guinea, Malagasy Republic, Togo, Upper Volta, Botswana, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Cameroon, Liberia, Lesotho, Malawi, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Zaire, Tunisia) -Countries supporting US policy in Vietnam - The attitude of non-aligned countries and Afro-Asian public opinion.
