Abstract: | The increased reliance on English authorities should be seen in the light of the fact that there is lack of local authorities for a number of principles enunciated. There should be an increased awareness in Nigeria today that the faith of the shareholders is yet to change for good. There needs to be an increased and effective protection of the investing public and a stricter control over and the imposition of heavier responsibilities upon company managers.
