| Abstract: | The purpose of this note is to present and discuss data relating to temporal variations in levels of market activity at three markets in Kenya (Gatundu, Kimunyu and Gathage), in Ngenda Location which forms part of Kiarobu District. Seasonal and daily variations in activity are examined, first separately and secondly together. Embedding daily variations within a broader seasonal framework appears to offer a more incisive picture of the way in which market systems evolve. Notes, tab., fig. |
