Abstract: | Aims to present an outline of the main findings of a survey of the markets within the Greater Kampala area (city of Kampala, Mengo municipality. Nakawa township. Kawempe) made over a sample period of four days in mid-March 1964. Within this area, there were then 35 markets Several others lay just outside the administrative boundaries but within built-up areas and the most important of these, Wabigalo, was included in the survey.
