Abstract: | After a short introduction into the meaning of the concept of adultery in former days and today, the article describes court procedures in case of adultery and damages paid by the adulterer. Special attention is paid to a more serious case of adultery: when the adulterer deserts with another man's wife. Figures of two Court Case records show the frequency of adultery. Notes, tables. |
