Abstract:The programme of the Seminar comprised four major themes related to basic education: its conception, its content, the modalities of its implementation, its planning and administration. This paper is a statement of conclusions from the discussions, abstracted from the final report of the meeting. It is followed by some of the contributions presented by representatives of countries attending this meeting (Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Upper Volta and Nigeria).
