Abstract: | This essay is divided into five parts: 1. a summary historical presentation of how access to land and labour was organised in pre-colonial and colonial times; 2., 3. and 4. explain the contemporary organization of labour in its varied forms (communal cooperative, wage labour, forced labour and family labour); 5. analyzes the two different paths to capital accumulation, while 6. is a summation on the nature of class differentiation in the village under study. - Notes, tab. |
