| Abstract: | Gives a brief account of the history of the co-operation between the missionary societies and the government in Southern Rhodesia in the evolution of what was called the Native School System or the Native Education System from the early 1890's to the late 1920's. Particular attention is paid to the nature and aims of Government-Mission co-operation in the evolution of the system and the effect upon African education of this co-operation. Notes. |
