Abstract: | The first such Conference took place in Moscow in 1966, the second in Budapest in 1969, the third in Varna in 1971. The fourth Conference (Warsaw, October 17 to 20, 1973) was devoted to 'Africa and key international problems', and was organized jointly by the Department of Developing Countries at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, the African Studies Center of Warsaw University, the Institute of the Economy of Developing Countries at the Central School of Planning and Statistics, and the Polish Committee of Solidarity with the Peoples of Asia and Africa. Topics of the conference: Africa - her political situation today and development trends - Contemporary ideological doctrines and their influence on Africa's foreign policies - Prospects for Africa's national-liberation movements - The socialist countries' economic relations with Africa - Fresh developments and trends in relations between Africa and capitalist countries and with international corporations. |
