Abstract: | Among contemporary novels that express a concern over the present chaos in African society and psyche three stand out in their vision, reaching beyond the avowed state of disillusion. The message of these novels is that organized action can reverse the situation. These novels, Two thousand seasons, by Ayi Kwei ARMAH, Season of anomy, by Wole SOYINKA, and Petals of blood, by NGUGI WA THIONG'O, are discussed in this paper. Ref. |
