Abstract:The Struggle for Freedom and Independence is not exclusively centered, in Southern Africa. It it true that the countries of Southern Africa still linger under colonialism and imperialism, but one must be careful not to think of the rest of Africa as being free. If Africa or any part of her is to enjoy freedom, ALL of Africa must bear the responsibility of securing freedom for all of Africa. The reality is that Europe is now implementing the Second Scramble for Africa through activities designed to create hostilities and divisions among Africans in order to facilitate recolo-nization. Unless Africans come to grips with this harsh reality, this second scramble may prove much easier for Europeans than that baptized by the Berlin Conference waters, and indeed, more disastrous for the Africans. Mentioning the situation in several independent African countries the A, explains why the Second Scramble is a much easier one for Europe.
