Abstract:Petroleum is now a major factor in the Nigerian economy. This work contributes to some unexplored aspects of the petroleum products industry. The analysis of the nature of demand for gasoline and how this is affected by geographical and economic factors specifically regards the following issues: How does the demand for gasoline in Nigeria very over time and space? What factors are responsible for the spatial variation in demand? Does the relationship between these factors and the quantity of gasoline consumed change over time?
