Abstract: | The paper discusses all retrievable consonant changes from Proto-Bantu, as reconstructed in Guthrie's 'Comparative Bantu' to Northern Sotho (Pedidialect) in terms of the features glottalicness, laterality, nasality, place, posture, stricture and voicing. All changes are expressed in terms of the multivalued feature expression proposed by K. Williamson in her 1977 paper. Ref., tab., also sum. in French. |
